Hatfield Update – New Home Master Bath & Patio

John Webb shows us more built-in storage and the amazing designs for the bathrooms for the Hatfield new home build. A lot of talent and hard work has gone into this home, and it has clearly paid off. Take a look!

And then when we have the carpets, it’s going to get Karastan Carpet going in, only the best. The entryway is the same way. Getting ready, coat closet. So we're just going to we're just going to do one hanger in it. But man, they got a ton more storage in there than they need. Oh, and then room for another Dyson; one for the top floor and one for the bottom floor.

So here we've got this one here. He actually he does have all the toilets done. He's got to get the wall hung sink in. We’ve got this cool wall hung sink from Signature Hardware. And again we made the mirrors and stuff. The mirror frames are all the same. And this is all everything's ready for template. We're ready for template today.

John Webb has over 20 years experience as a Eugene New Home Builder. John has designed some of the most unique, energy efficient homes in Western Oregon. Though, it’s not just about that Energy Star rating. John enjoys the interior design and fine details - the things folks notice first.

During the final walkthrough of the Hatfield project John Webb gets more in depth about form and function of this unique design. For efficiency we of course see more drawers within drawers, reclaimed wood for Dendra Doors’ floating shelves and mirror frames, custom finishes on doors and reclaimed wood, IKEA quality for a well designed walk-in closet, and a vaulted ceiling in the Master Bedroom with tongue in groove throughout the home for real wood accents.

“Looks nice in here. So here’s the bathroom – I used a lot more of the Sektion cabinets in here. The storage underneath, I mean, nothing is going to get lost under there. You know, good drawers, drawers in drawers. It really lets you tighten the whole bathroom up with storage. These are IKEA cabinets, I popped the doors and glass out and we went with the same type of glass we went with in the rest of the house.

Open floating shelves from Dendra Doors. More woodworking from Dendra Doors – all the mirror frames in the house were wood that was left over from old jobs - some demo or something else. Some of these even have holes from where they were previously nailed that you can see. So we sandblasted it out and did the same type of finish of all the woodwork in the rest of the house.

Eugene Modern Kitchen Designer

The John Webb Construction & Design team designed and built a record-breaking Modern French Farmhouse in 2020. Eugene New Home Builders are expected to design energy efficient homes that last. With over 20 years as a modern home builder and Interior Designer, John has taken part in creating that standard.

During John Webb’s final walkthrough of the Hatfield project he talks about the custom IKEA Sektion Kitchen, Dendra Doors fronts on IKEA boxes, and the importance of streamlined storage in a modern kitchen design. The unique finish John came up with that is featured on the outer panels of kitchen island is a great example of John’s approach to style and function.

We have a door company that we call Dendra Doors where we make overlays and finishes for IKEA cabinetry. We have some of that in here, and then we did use some IKEA cabinets. All the cabinet bases themselves are IKEA and I have some Dendra overlays and IKEA overlays.

Hatfield Update – New Home Exterior Design

John takes us on a walkthrough of the Hatfield project, starting with new home exterior design standards. For this new home build John tied interior and exterior accents together in charming ways. From the fence to doors to floating shelves, these design elements maintain a sense of warmth and consistency throughout the home.

New Home Design and Build

We're coming into the grand finale of this. So landscaping is all in completely. It zooms irrigation. The driveways in it came out pretty darn nice and everything's a little bit of design in progress. We cut our our x's in the concrete on the way up to kind of matches the fence, which ties into all the floors in the house.

It's got a diagonal grip through the entire house that are five by five that are grounded like huge tiles. So everything is kind of seamless and goes together. We only really have the house as far as colors go. There's only three colors white. The color of the floor. And then basically the distressed thing, which is all the woodwork in the doors and some cabinetry and some accessory pieces, the outdoor kitchen is all done like this also.
